Bittersweet
Thankful
This world is made of many people,
And they say that all are equal.
Still, there’s not a single one
Who could do for me what you have done.
The Travelers
Our journeys began on different days,
And carried on in separate ways.
Separate, yes, or so it seemed;
Different lives, and different dreams.
Yet our roads did one day cross.
Not a moment have we lost.
Far away, and yet so close,
Cherishing you more than most.
This is now and that was then;
Still I’ll cherish till the end.
Though our roads may split apart,
You’ll stay forever in my heart.
The Journey
The road sometimes seems long,
And the battle never-ending.
You just feel like you can’t go on
The road that keeps on bending.
It all seems like a struggle now,
But know one day it’ll be
Only an image in our minds,
A warm and distant memory.
The road’s been rough and rocky,
And the skies did turn to gray,
But all of it was worth
With you a single day.
The road will keep on turning,
The battle will be fought,
But don’t forget the things we heard,
And all that we were taught.
This life will be a long one;
One day it will seem small.
But of the days that I’ll remember,
The ones with you were best of all.
